Painting Services in Singapore
Send photos of the surfaces, the rooms and your colours. Preparation, materials and cleanup are agreed in the quotation.

Surfaces to identify
List every surface you want included. Walls and ceilings are the usual scope; anything else should be named separately so the right preparation and paint can be discussed, and so nothing is silently left out.
Walls
Name the rooms, and say whether every wall is included or only some. A feature wall in a different colour counts as a separate item.
Ceilings
Ceiling painting is quoted only when it is listed. Say which rooms, and mention cornices, box-ups or false ceilings.
Doors and other surfaces
Doors, door frames and any other surface you have in mind. List them so suitability and the right paint can be discussed for each.
Why the current condition matters
Paint manufacturers are direct about this: the finish depends more on what is under the paint than on the paint itself. Nippon Paint's guidance lists cleaning, crack repair, mould treatment, priming or sealing and a moisture check as the preparation that decides whether a new coat lasts. Photos of the surfaces as they are today let Imran see which of these apply before he quotes.
Photograph these if you see them
- Peeling, flaking or bubbling paint
- Hairline or wider cracks, holes and old filler
- Stains, watermarks or patches that look damp
- Dark spots that could be mould, especially in bathrooms and kitchens
- Powdery, chalky areas that come off on your hand
- The existing colour where you want a big change, for example dark to light
Also useful
- A wide photo of each room so the wall area and ceiling height are clear
- The approximate room sizes, or the flat type
- What stays in the room during painting and what can be moved out
- Any known leak, seepage or past repair on a wall

What the quotation should agree
A painting quotation is easy to compare when each of these is written down. Ask for anything missing to be added before you accept.
- Surfaces and rooms: the walls, ceilings, doors and other items included, room by room.
- Preparation: cleaning, removal of loose paint, filling of cracks, sanding and any sealer or primer, stated per problem area.
- Paint system: the brand, range and sheen as offered, and the number of coats agreed for each surface.
- Colours: the colour codes, how many colours, and any dark-to-light change that needs extra work.
- Protection: how floors, furniture, fittings and switches are covered, and who moves furniture.
- Cleanup: what is cleaned, reinstated and taken away at the end of each day and at handover.
- Timing and access: the number of days, working hours, and any lift or building arrangements.
- Exclusions: anything not covered, such as repairs to leaking walls or work at height outside.
How it works
Send photos and rooms
Use the WhatsApp button, list the surfaces and attach photos of their current condition and the colours you are considering.
Discuss the condition
Go through the photos with Imran and ask whether the walls need to be seen before the preparation and paint are proposed.
Quotation and dates
Ask for a written quotation that lists surfaces, preparation, paint, protection and cleanup, then agree the dates once you accept it.
Paint, rollers and colour references
Painting illustrations: paint, rollers and colour references in general, not specific completed jobs.
Straight answers
What photos help most?
One wide photo per room, plus close-ups of any peeling, cracks, stains or damp-looking patches. Take them in daylight if you can, and include the ceiling in at least one shot per room.
Is ceiling painting included?
Only when it is listed in the quotation. If you want ceilings done, say so in the enquiry and check that each room's ceiling appears in the written scope.
Are materials supplied?
Agree this in the quotation. It should say whether Imran supplies the paint and materials or you do, and identify the paint by brand and range so the price and the product match.
What preparation is covered?
Whatever the quotation states. Typical preparation includes cleaning, scraping loose paint, filling cracks, sanding and sealing where needed. Ask for it to be listed per problem area rather than as a single word.
What if the wall has moisture damage?
Painting over a damp or leaking wall does not last; the source of the moisture has to be found and fixed first. Send photos of the affected wall, say what you know about any leak, and ask what needs checking before painting is quoted.
Can I bring my own colour codes?
Yes. Send the codes or swatches you like, and ask for a test patch on the actual wall if you can; lighting changes how a colour looks.
Ready to ask?
The button opens WhatsApp with this checklist already typed. Fill in what you know, attach photos of the surfaces, and send when you are ready.
